Answer these only through Quran and Traditions (Ahadees)

1.  What is the name of first mujtahid?
2.  Before getting the degree of ijtehad, whose taqleed the first mujtahid did?
3.  Quote an Ayat or Hadees in favour of Ijtehad?
4.  Give an Ayat or Hadees in the praise of mujtahid who is not an infallible?
5.  If the mujtahid gives a legal decision (fatwa) based on Quran and Ahadees then why do  the  mujtahids say “when a mujtahid dies then his legal decision is null and void”. (matal mufti matal fatwa) ?
6.  Why a person can’t do taqleed of a dead mujtahid?
7.  On reaching puberty, can a boy do taqleed of a dead mujtahid?
8.  Is it lawful to interpret (tafseer) Quran through ones own intellect/opinion?
9.  Is taqleed of a mujtahid lawful?
10. What is the procedure for appointing the so-called naib-e-Imam and its lawfulness?
11. If the legal decisions (fatwas) of mujtahids were given according to the Quran and

17. How many Imams (A.S) we follow ?
18. Shah Abdul Aziz Mohadis Dahalvi (sunni) in the book Tohfa-e-Ithna Ashari says, “The way
        the shias has their deputy of Imams (naib-e-Imams) by
the same proof we have the
       deputies of Prophet (S.A) (khalifa- e-Rasool)”.
Explain its lawfulness?
19. The theory that the deputy should be equal in all aspects as the head. (AlNaibo kal

Is it right or wrong?
20. In a period where freedom of religion is there, can anybody remain shia after boycotting

Foundation Laws of True Shia Religion

Rasool (SW) said:

 I'm leaving amongst you two most valuable things- one is Allah's book and the other is my Progeny (Itrat, Ahlebait). These two never separates from each other. Such that they will meet me at the fountain of Kousar (Houz-e-Kausar). Whoever binds himself to these two will definitely attain salvation and whoever distances himself from these two will definitely be ruined. Till you are bounded with these two you will never ever go astray.
Hence to be safe from going astray and being disgraced, it is essential to practice on Quran and Ahlebait (AS). Neither by saying 'Hasbona Kitaballah' (only Quran is sufficient) can leave Ahlebait (AS) nor can add Intellect (Aql) and Ijma (Consensus) to these two.
 About Saqlain
Saqlain are the words uttered by a pious and Infallible mouth. Mysteries are hidden in this single word "Saqlain". If the creator of words & their meaning, The 14 infallibles (AS) have not explained Saqlain then the mystery would have remained as such. It would have remained hidden even after being apparent. If u want to see then

seeing with the strength of Imaan is true faith (Yaqeen) True faith (yaqeen) is not something wherein one agrees after seeing proof. It is in Hadith (tradition) that Saqlain is supreme creation (Aazam Maqlooqath). Quran is miracle of Prophet Mohammed (SW). About the talking Quran (Quran-e-Natiq) it is said

it is a fact that among the miracles of Prophet Mohammed (SW) one miracle is Ali (AS).
Miracle is beyond human understanding and conception, this is the proof of Prophecy (Nabuwat), Risalath and Imamath. Miracle whether by words or actions, is an order of Allah. Nabis, Rasools, Imams are the means through which it is performed.
After this vast and literal explanation, these conclusions came into fore are became evident that manifestation of miracle was done by Allah through the sayings and actions of the last Apostle of Allah. When the miracle is an order of Allah, it is obligatory for Muslims to act upon it. This was the reason that the Prophet (SW) said that whoever rejects Saqlain will definitely go astray and will become contemptible and be ruined.

Who is Allah

The Holy Prophet PBUH said that the first step to 'deen'( Islam ) is the 'maarefat' of Allah JJW. How can we have this 'maarefat'?  To have some idea about Allah we should think about some of His creations. This earth, where we live, is one of the 12 planets revolving around the sun.The earth is quite small as compared with the bigger planets. Jupiter, with its 62 moons, is 1000 times bigger than earth. Collectively, all these planets of our solar system have .15% of the total mass, the remaining 99.85% is held by the sun. Light, traveling at 186,000 miles a second, will go around our earth seven times in one second. But we are so lonely in this universe that the same light, traveling at this dazzling speed, will go in the empty space for about five years to reach the next sun(star)  nearest to us. (A rocket traveling at 20,000 miles per hour will cover this distance in about 1,70,000 years.) There are a large number of stars in our galaxy ------- estimates range from two hundred billion to four hundred billion stars. And the estimate for number of galaxies range from 140 billions to 200 billions. The universe is believed to be about 90 billion light years in its expanse.
   All the galaxies are traveling outwards at accelerating velocities, some traveling at about 50% the speed of light.The galaxies towards the the periphery have more acceleration than the ones located inwards.
 Quran informs us in Sura Zariyat, ayet 47 that Allah created this universe and He is giving it expansion.
 All the visible matter in space is less than 4% of the accounted mass in the universe; the remaining being the dark matter and something which is still beyond our comprehension. It has been postulated that all this matter was concentrated at one point about 14 billion years ago. At this stage there was no 'time' and no 'space/ distance' in the universe. Then a huge explosive Big Bang triggered the expansion. At that point the 'time' and 'space' (distances)  were created. All our  physical and conceptual existence is enclosed in this capsule the parameters of which are defined by time and space. It is almost impossible to have any concept of state of things when there was no space and no time or what lies beyond the outer limits of universe where time and space have not reached yet?
   Our earth is a speck of dust in this huge and mind boggling universe. We live on a small patch of land for a short duration in the cosmos. Comparatively, in this cosmic calender of billions of years our life of 100 years is only a small fraction of a second. Yet we are so important that our body is a miracle. The working of our heart, liver, lungs or any other organ of our body is wonderfully amazing. Our brain has more than 100 billion neurons which transmit information by electrical and chemical signaling processes. Each neuron is connected to other neurons by about 7,000 connections(synapses). Thus a brain can have 100  to 500 trillion connections for the flow of information. Comparatively, a super computer which transmits information only electrically has a few million connections.The instructions for the life of a human being are encoded in 3.16 billion "letters" in each of about 80,000 genes on 46 chromosomes in each cell. The sequence of four colors of this genetic code of  3.16 billion "letters"/molecules determines everything like height, color of eyes and hairs, the immune system, structure of brain or heart, etc. Despite of great achievements the scientists do not know anything about the nature of life which so mysteriously and beautifully differentiates a living body from a dead one.
    Nobody can ever believe that just by heating a few metals you can produce very sophisticated computers or aircrafts. Similarly it is inconceivable that this beautiful and amazing cosmos, the unceasing motion since billions of years of electrons and galaxies, the orderly and marvelous existence of life, the empty space and all other things could have been possible without the will and design of a supreme being. That ultimate eternal reality, the awe inspiring, mind baffling, stunning and incomprehensible supreme being, you call Him by any name, is Allah. It is simply not possible for us to have even a remote conception of our creator. Our minds have not been programmed to cross this barrier. He created in us the potentials and limits of our  thinking. Only He knows what else He has created. When Imam Jaffer-e-Sadiq was asked, " What is the meaning of Allah-o-Akber?". He replied," He is much higher than being conceived by our intelligence." ( Bahar-ul-Anwar- 18/345 ). In fact, whatever concept of Allah we may develop, then we are the creator of  that concept and therefore that cannot be Allah. Quran says in Sura Al-Saafat, ayat 180 that Allah is much above  than whatever they describe Him.
     Imam Baqar A.S. said," Do you think that Allah has created only this universe and you believe that He has not created any other human being? By Allah, He has created thousand thousand universes and thousand thousand Adams." (Bahar-ul-Anwar 57/ 321, Al-Khasal page 652 hadith 54, Al-Touheed page 277 ).
    Quran says," Those only are believers whose hearts become full of fear when Allah is mentioned". ( Sura Anfal ayat 2 ).

About Taqleed, is it mandatory or not?

                                  Those who obey likewise person will be in loss.

Tafseer: - In Kaafi it is narrated by Imam Mohammed Baqir (AS) that when he was asked about the claim (Haq) of Allah on His servants. Imam replied, “Talk only about the things which you know and be silent about things which you don’t have knowledge of”.
Imam Jaffer Sadiq (AS) said “Be safe from two characteristics, since whoever was ruined, was because of these two .One is avoid giving a fatwa using own opinion (rai) and other is do not give judgment when you don’t have factual knowledge”.

Evidence of Tehreef (Alterations) in Quran

Wain kuntum fee raybin mimma nazzalna AAala AAabdina fatoo bisooratin min mithlihi wadAAoo shuhadaakum min dooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeen

2:23 And if ye are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant, then produce a Sura like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (If there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true

Tafseer:-In the Book Kaafi it has been narrated to Imam Mohammad Baqir AS that he said that this verse has been revealed in this way on to the Prophet Mohammad SW by the Angel Gibrael,

2:159 Those who conceal the clear (Signs) We have sent down, and the Guidance, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book,-Indeed on them shall be Allah's curse, and the curse of those entitled to curse,-

Tafseer:-In the Book Fazaele Murtuzawi there is a saying of an Infallibe AS that this verse has been revealed in this way

Inna allatheena yaktumoona ma anzalna mina albayyinati fi Ali ibne Abitalib walhuda min baAAdi ma bayyannahu linnasi fee alkitabi olaika yalAAanuhumu Allahu wayalAAanuhumu allaAAinoon

Tafseer:- In the Books Tafseer Qummi and Tafseer Ayaashi it is narrated to Imam Jaffer Sadiq AS that the circumstances in which the Prophet SW where there with the people was not at all miserable or in great misfortune but this verse has been revealed in this way ..waantum Zohafa..

In the Books Tafseer Qummi and Tafseer Ayaashi it is narrated to Imam Jaffer Sadiq AS that Abu Baseer has read this verse in front of the Prophet SW, on which the Prophet SW stopped him and said Allah has not revealed this verse as such but instead this verse has been revealed in this way ..waantum Qaleela..

In yet another tradition it has been narrated that Prophet SW was not at all wretch but instead this verse has been revealed in this way ..waantum Qaleela..

In many other traditions of the Infallibles shows that the number of the holy warriors at Badr were 313.

Inna allatheena amanoo thumma kafaroo thumma amanoo thumma kafaroo thumma izdadoo kufran lam yakuni Allahu liyaghfira lahum wala liyahdiyahum sabeela

4:137 Those who believe, then reject faith, then believe (again) and (again) reject faith, and go on increasing in disbelief,- Allah will not forgive them nor guide them on the right way.

Tafseer:- In the Book Kaafi it has been narrated to Imam Jaffer Sadiq AS that he said that in this verse

Nazalat fi falan wa falan wa falan Amanu bilNabi fi Awalalamruh wa kafaru haiso arzato alaihim alWilayato heena Qalan Nabio Man Kunto Moulaho fahaza Aliyun Moulaho summa amanu bil baiyatil Ameerul Momineen alaihis salam summa kafaru haiso mazah RasoolAllahi falam yaqru bil baiyate summa asdaadu kafara..

This verse has been revealed for those (first, second and third) who has initially beleived in the Prophet SW. and when they were presented with the wilayah and Imamat of Ali ibne Abitalib AS and when the Prophet SW said "for whomsoever I am the master this Ali is their master". that time those people and their hearts rejected it and became disbelievers. on the Prophet's SW assertion they had done bayeth of Ali AS, this way they have again became beleiver, and after the Prophet's SW demise they have not stood onto the bayeth of Ali AS as ordered by the Prophet SW and instead against the order of Allah they themselves taken the bayeths of the People for this Allah said where is beleive left in them and that they goes on increasing in disbelief.

Inna allatheena kafaroo wathalamoo lam yakuni Allahu liyaghfira lahum wala liyahdiyahum tareeqa -Illa tareeqa jahannama khalideena feeha abadan wakana thalika AAala Allahi yaseera

4:168 Those who reject Faith and do oppression,- It is not the work of Allah to forgive them nor guide them to any way- 4:169 Except the way of Hell, to dwell therein for ever. And this to Allah is easy.

Tafseer:- In the Book Ayaashi it is narrated to Imam Mohammed Baqir AS that Gabreil has brought this verse with its honor in such a way that in this verse

Inna allatheena kafaroo wathalamoo Aale Mohammad Haqqahum lam yakuni Allahu liyaghfira lahum wala liyahdiyahum tareeqa...

In Tafseer Qummi it is narrated to Abu Abdullah AS has read this verse in this way

Inna allatheena kafaroo wathalamoo Aale Mohammad Haqqahum lam yakuni Allahu liyaghfira lahum wala liyahdiyahum tareeqa....

Ya ayyuha annasu qad jaakumu arrasoolu bilhaqqi min rabbikum faaminoo khayran lakum wain takfuroo fainna lillahi ma fee assamawati walardi wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeema

4:170 O Mankind! The Messenger hath come to you in truth from Allah. believe in him: It is best for you. But if ye reject Faith, to Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth: And Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.

Tafseer:- In the Book Ayaashi it has been narrated to Imam Mohammad BAqir AS that this verse is in this way

Ya ayyuha annasu qad jaakumu arrasoolu bilhaqqi min rabbikum fi wilayate Ali faaminoo khayran ....

O Mankind! The Messenger hath come to you in truth from Allah. with the wilayath of Ali, believe in him: It is best for you in this world and hereafter. But if ye reject His wilayah, to which Allah doesn't care. To Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth...

Ya ayyuha arrasoolu balligh ma onzila ilayka min rabbika wain lam tafAAal fama ballaghta risalatahu wallahu yaAAsimuka mina annasi inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alkafireen

5:67 O Messenger. proclaim the (message) which hath been revealed to thee from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief). For Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.

Tafseer:- In the Book Ahtejaaje Tabrisi it has been narrated to Imam Mohammad BAqir AS that when Prophet SW reached the plain of Khadeer Qum which is located 3 miles in front of Joafa. It was 5 hours passed the dawn. At that time Gabreil the guardian has brought very important and remindful order along with a promise of nobility and safety and said O Mesenger of Allah, the lord conveys Salam on you and says

Ya ayyuha arrasoolu balligh ma onzila ilayka min rabbika fi Aliyin wain lam tafAAal fama ballaghta risalatahu wallahu yaAAsimuka mina annasi inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alkafireen

O Messenger. proclaim the (message) which hath been revealed to thee in the context of Ali from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief). For Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.

Walaqad atayna moosa alkitaba fakhtulifa feehi...

11:110 We certainly gave the Book to Moses, but differences arose therein:...

Tafseer:- In the Book Kaafi it has been narrated to Imam Mohammad Baqir AS that those people differed the same way as this ummah has differred in the book of Allah and when our Qayem Aale Mohammad AS will bring that Quran with Him which they will differ, some from them will even reject it and by His orders they will be first to be beheaded.

Waquli alhaqqu min rabbikum faman shaa falyumin waman shaa falyakfur inna aAAtadna liththalimeena naran ahata bihim suradiquha wain yastagheethoo yughathoo bimain kalmuhli yashwee alwujooha bisa ashsharabu wasaat murtafaqa

18:29 Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it): for the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on!

Tafseer:- In the Book Kaafi it has been narrated to Imam Mohammad Baqir AS that Gibrael the guardian has brought this verse in this way

Waquli alhaqqu min rabbikum fi Wilayate Ali faman shaa falyumin waman shaa falyakfur inna aAAtadna liththalimeena la Aale Mohammed naran ahata bihim suradiquha wain yastagheethoo yughathoo bimain kalmuhli yashwee alwujooha bisa ashsharabu wasaat murtafaqa

Yuslih lakum aAAmalakum wayaghfir lakum thunoobakum waman yutiAAi Allaha warasoolahu faqad faza fawzan AAatheema

33:71 That He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins: and one who obeys Allah and His Messenger, is the one who has attained the highest achievement.

Tafseer:- In the Book Kaafi and tafseer Qummi it has been narrated to Imam Jaffer Sadiq AS regarding the tafseer of this verse that this verse was revealed in this way

Yuslih lakum aAAmalakum wayaghfir lakum thunoobakum waman yutiAAi Allaha warasoolahu fi wilayate Ali wal Aimmah min baAdi faqad faza fawzan AAatheema

That He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins: and one who obeys Allah and His Messenger in the context of Wilayat of Ali Murtuza and the Imams after Him , is the one who will attain the highest achievement.

Qul ma kuntu bidAAan mina arrusuli wama adree ma yufAAalu bee wala bikum in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya wama ana illa natheerun mubeen

46:9 Say: "I am not an unique among the apostles, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I follow but that which is revealed to me by Divine revelation; I am but a Warner open and clear."

Tafseer:- In the Book tafseer Burhaan it has been narrated to the part of the tradition of Imam Mohammad Baqir AS that when Allah orders something upon His Apostle and He obeys and follow it and after sometime some new order is revealed and thus the Apostle of Allah orders such to his companions and the people then the people asked O Messenger of Allah you order us one thing and when we become use to that order and follow it correctly, you have given another order. In reply to this the Apostle of Allah kept quite till this verse has been revealed by Allah.

In the tafseer of this verse it is been narrated by Imam Mohammed Baqir AS and Imam Jaffer Sadiq AS that when this verse was revealed to Prophet SW that Qul ma kuntu bidAAan mina arrusuli ...which is regarding the results of Jehaad on which the Quresh said, How can we follow a Messenger who does not know what will be done with him and what will be done with us. On Which Allah has revealed the verse Inna fatehna laka fathan Mobeena (Indeed we conquered for a open conquest).

Hence it is narrated to Imams AS that original revealation of the verse attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya was like this attabiAAu illa ma yooha ila fi Ali the meaning of which is I follow but that which is revealed to me regarding Ali

Fayawmaithin la yusalu AAan thanbihi insun wala jan

55:39 On that Day no question will be asked of man or Jinn as to his sins.

Tafseer:- In the Book tafseer Qummi it is there that this verse is regarding you (Shia). The meaning of it is that when any person loves (Tawallah) Ameerul Momineen AS and keep enmity (Tabarrah) of the enemies of Him and beleive in Allah and consider what is ordered Halaal as Halaal and what is Haraam as Haraam, and does sins and does not repent on his bad deeds. Then Allah will punish him in Barzagh (temporary world) due to his sins but on the day of Judgement he will come out (of his grave) as such he has no sins on him and there will be no questions on him.

In Basharatiz Shia, Mayessarah narrates to Imam Ali Raza AS I have listned the Imam as saying that from you even two will not go to hell By Allah not even one. I asked Him is this there anywhere in the Book of Allah? thus He has not answer it upto one year. Mayessarah says one day after one year when I was doing tawaf of Kaabah with Imam AS. suddenly Imam AS said O Mayessarah now I got the permission from my lord to answer that question you have asked. I said O respected tell me where is that place in Quran? Imam AS replied it is their in the Surah of Rahman and the saying of the Allah

Fayawmaithin la yusalu AAan thanbihi minkum insun wala jan

I said there is no minkum there, He repleid it is like that in the original verse but in which ibne Iradah (Osman bin Affan) has made changes , and which is itself a Hujjat on him and his followers because if there is no minkum in that verse it means that the punishment of Allah will be ruled out over the creatures of Allah. The meaning of the apparent verse is that on the day of Judgement there will be no questioning of the sins from the man or the jins. And when there will be no questioning Allah will not punish anybody.

La yamassuhu illa almutahharoon

56:79 Which none shall touch but those who are cleansed:

Tafseer:- In the Book Tahseebul Ahkaam it is narrated to Imam Moosa Kazim AS that "ye Shall not touch the Book (Quran) when ye are unclean, and ye shall not touch it, nor it shall be hanged, nor shall touch its tread and nor its any of the belongings. It is thus becasue Allah has ordered

La yamassuhu illa almutahharoon

In the Book Ahtejaaje Tabreezi it is there that when Omar was appointed Khalif by Abubakr, he requested Ameerul Momineen Ali AS to present to the people His Quran so that the people can compare it with their quran. The dicussions between them was in the following words

Omer: O Abul Hassan if you deem it proper you can bring that Quran which you have brought infront of Abubakr, so that (on it)everyone arrives at a consensus.

Ameerul Momineen: Alas there is no skope that it can be available for you. I have brought it infront of Abubakr, so that there shall be no ground of dispute and there shall be no excuse for you to say we were unknown or I had not brought it to you on the day of Judgement. Otherwise none shall touch the Quran which is with me but those who are cleansed i.e. they are my deputies who will be from my progeny and none other than them can even touch it

Omer: Is there any fixed time frame for its appearance?

Ameerul Momineen: Yes. Know! when from my progeny Qaim Aale Mohammad AS will present it and also guide all the people on it and all the rules and the laws will be according to it.

Qul huwa arrahmanu amanna bihi waAAalayhi tawakkalna fasataAAlamoona man huwa fee zalalin mubeen

67:29 Say: "He is ((Allah)) Most Gracious: We have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: So, soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error."

Tafseer:- In the Book Kaafi it is narrated to Imam Mohamme Baqir AS that the original verse was revealed in this way

..fasataAAlamoona bemashral makzebeena haisa anbatakum risalatar rabbi fi wilyate Ali wa AAimmato min baAAdi man huwa fee zalalin mubeen.

O group of falsifier when I will convey by the message of the Lord which will be regarding Ali ibne Abitalib AS and the wilayat of Imams who will be after him. That time you will know who are in manifest error.

Saala sailun biAAathabin waqiAA - Lilkafireena laysa lahu dafiAA

70:1 A questioner asked the Lord about a Penalty to befall - 70:2 which is only for the disbelievers, to which there is no one to ward off,-

Tafseer:- In the Book Majmeyul Bayaan it is narrated to Imam Jaffer Sadiq AS who in turn narrates it to his Forefathers AS that on the day of Ghadeere Qum when the Prophet SW has appointed Imam Ali AS as His Successor and said

..Mankunto maulaho fa haza Aliyun maula.

When this order got famed everywhere, Noman Bin Harris Fehri came to the Prophet SW and said you have ordered us by thy Lord that we witness God is one and you the Messenger of God, to which we had accepted and then you have ordered for Holy War (Jehad), Fasting (Roza), Namaz and Zakaat to which again we had accepted. On this also you have not stopped and appointed this person as your successor and Ruler over us and said ...Mankunto maulaho fa haza Aliyun maula. Is this order from you or from thy Lord? Prophet SW replied By the Lord accept their is no Lord this order is from Allah. After listning this Noman Bin Haris turnaround and walked away saying

Allahumma in kaana huwal haqqo min indeka famatir alaina

Thus a stone came down from the Lord on to his head which perished him. And Allah had revealed the verse in this way

Saala sailun biAAathabin waqiAA - Lilkafireena be wilayate Ali laysa lahu dafiAA

It is written in the same way in the Book Musafe Fatima.

PROSTATION

AYATOLLAH ABUL QASIM AL KHOI

1093. If a person does not possess anything on which it is lawful to perform prostration or, even if he does posses such a thing but cannot perform prostration on it on account of severe heat or coldness, he should perform prostration on his dress and if even this is not possible he should perform prostration on the back of his hand or on any other thing on which it is not permissible to perform prostration optionally. However, the recommended precaution is that so long as it is possible to perform prostration on the back of one's hand it should not be performed on any other such thing.

AYATOLLAH SYED ALI SISTAANI

1093. * If a person does not possess anything on which it is allowed to perform Sajdah, or, even if he possesses such a thing, he cannot perform Sajdah on it due to severe heat or cold, he should perform Sajdah on asphalt or tar, and if that is not possible, on his dress or the back of his hand, or on any thing on which it is not permissible to perform Sajdah optionally. However, in such a situation, the recommended precaution is that as long as it is possible to perform Sajdah on his dress he should not do Sajdah on any other thing.

AYATOLLAH SYED MOHAMMED RAZA MOOSVI GULPAYEGANI

1093. * If a person does not possess anything on which it is allowed to perform Sajdah, or, even if he possesses such a thing, he cannot perform Sajdah on it due to severe heat or cold, he should perform Sajdah on his dress if it is made of Alsi, cotton and if it is made of something else then on the back of his hand, or on any thing which is mined for example ring of Haqeeq. However, in such a situation, the recommended precaution is that as long as it is possible to perform Sajdah on back of his hand he should not do Sajdah on any other mined thing.

IMAM KHOMEINI

1074. * Sajdah is done on anything which is grown from the earth and not used for eating. For example wood, leaves of trees. And it is not allowed to perform Sajdah on the things which are eatable and wearable. Nor on the mined things, for example, Gold, Silver, Haqeeq, Ferozah on which the Sajdah is forbidden. Left is the mined stones, such as Marble or Black Stone there is no problem to perform Sajdah on it.

TRADITION OF THE INFALLIBLES AS

Hasham bin Hakam asked Imam Jaffer Sadiq AS about the things on which Sajdah is permissible and forbidden? Imam AS replied, “Sajdah is forbidden except on earth or anything which are grown form it, except those things which are eatable or wearable. He asked be I gets sacrificed on you, what is the reason for it? Imam replied “it is because the Sajdah is bowing to thy Lord and it is forbidden for a person to bow on eatable and wearable things since the people have become slaves of the eatable and wearable things, and the person who perform Sajdah is actually busy in worshipping Allah and it is not permissible to put your forehead on the things which are the Lords of the people of the world and they have been betrayed by it. And it is better to do sajdah on earth because this is the way to show your will and gratitude towards Allah”
